When the vulcanization is cooled, it is in a supersaturated state and slowly migrates to the surface of the vulcanized rubber, forming a protective film that insulates against the erosion of oxygen and ozone in the air, thus playing a role in preventing aging.

The solubility of different varieties of paraffin wax in rubber is different, ordinary paraffin wax > rubber protective wax > microcrystalline wax. When the amount of paraffin exceeds its solubility, it will migrate to the rubber surface, but the amount is too much, the protective film is too thick, and it is easy to crack and fall off, but it affects the protective effect.
